Beach Trip: Part 2

Now for my favorite part of the beach trip....the Friends-cation!! As we grow our friends come and go, and friendships change. I have been soooo lucky to have some great friends for a long time. None longer than my friend Whitney.

We have been friends for 18 YEARS people!! That's forever when you're in your 20's. We have always been close, even when I moved away for college, but now that I'm back home, we are growing up (not old) together and making new memories!

This trip was made more amazing by the wonderful people who came. We have all been friends for years.

There was a lot of "Bro-mance" going on. Boys have to stick together.

The girls had fun with our boys, and separately too. We had some good times shopping, and spending time on the beach.

I love my little family. Gray has more and more personality every single day. She's a wild one....

The boys took some time to revisit their fishing fishing trip when we went to the Battery.

Whit and Lindsay did some shopping in beautiful Downtown Charleston. I never knew there were so many shops there!

At the Battery with Fort Sumter in the background. A South Carolina staple.

This little girl LOVED the Pinapple Fountain. One of her favorite foods is pineapple or "pina-pina" as she calls it.
As we left she yelled "Bye-Bye Pina-Pina" It was too precious.

This was a perfect picture spot. Here's Josh and Lindsay.

And Whitney and Brent.

A little boy gave Gray a Palmetto Rose. These are beautiful roses made from palmetto "leaves". She loved her flower.

It was beautiful every day at the beach and we took full advantage. Gray now looks like a coppertone baby with tan lines and bleach-blonde hair.

Playing with Daddy!

Melts my heart

She is definitely a beach baby.

Brent was her best friend at the beach. He was teaching her to relax and soak it all in.

I think she enjoyed herself. I know we did!

The older we get, the harder it is to get everyone together in one place. Whether this was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, or the beginning of many more, it was an amazing time with great friends.

  1. You are so blessed to have your long time friends around you. All of ours live interstate at present - and that makes get-togethers a bit challenging and far too infrequent! Love your photos - it really does look like a bliss-filled time! :)
